Free Skating
Program duration: 3 min., +/- 10 sec. Warm-up time: 5 min Max 8 skaters during warm-up
A well balanced Free Skating program must contain: a) Maximum of 6 jump elements, one of which must be Axel type jump. There may be up to two (2) jump combinations or sequences. All jump combinations can contain only two (2) jumps. A jump sequence can consists of 2 (two) jumps of any number of revolutions, beginning with any listed jump, immediately followed by an Axel type jump with a direct step from the landing curve of the first jump to the take-off curve of the Axel jump. The same single, double or triple jump can be executed only twice during the program. Jump can be repeated only in jump combination or sequence.
b) There must be a maximum of two (2) spins of a different nature (abbreviation), one of which must be a spin combination (minimum eight (8) revolutions), flying entrance is not allowed and one must be a flying spin (minimum six (6) revolutions) or a spin with flying entrance (minimum eight (8) revolutions).
c) There must be a maximum of one (1) step sequence fully utilizing the ice surface.
Technical Rules
Level explanation In all elements which are subjected to levels, only features up to level 3 will be counted. Any additional features will be ignored by Technical Panel and not be counted.
Bonus Technical Controller is responsible for awarding bonus for: - 2A – 1 point - Triple jumps – 1,5 point
All jumps must be clean (without signs <,<<), Bonus can be awarded only once for 2A and twice for different triple jumps.
Components Only two components will be judged: - Skating Skills (SS) - Perfomance (PE) - Interpretation (IN)
